Last year our community came together. I put a call out and you answered! We ran 15 FREE workshops in May & June 2020. We laughed, we cried, we danced, we wrote, we learned to take care of our hair, organize our days, balance working from home with life, explored the entrepreneurial mindset, and more.
This year, after everything we experienced and learned last year, we have curated 4 workshops for mind, body, soul, and career. While we can’t offer these workshops for free again this year (sisters have financial obligations), we are offering value for money/time/expertise.
We hope you value this opportunity to come together, grow together and learn together from some amazing Black Women with ties to Europe.
Mark your calendar to save the dates, times, and budget the fee where noted, and be on the lookout for more information and registration to start soon.
When the pandemic hit in March, we could tell things would be rough. We couldn’t predict how long this ride would be but we decided that using our talents to help each other was the way to go. We launched two months of free workshops in the Let’s Do Us! Series: https://bit.ly/LetsDoUs
Phase two is a Business Directory of services and products created and provided by black women across Europe. Let’s Do Us! by patronizing each other as we continue to support each other during uncertain times and beyond. Paying things forward, I made all of the inaugural listings free for life. https://bit.ly/BWIEDirectory
“2020 has been anything but normal”, George concedes. “But black women across Europe continued to do amazing things, including coming together to help each other deal with the repercussions of a global pandemic in our Let’s Do Us! Workshop series”.
The previous lists combined have received well over 341,384 views on Slideshare and are presented in alphabetical order. They are intended to acknowledge powerful black women in Europe and to inspire others to reach their full potential. The lists do not aim to assess rank but rather to showcase influential women who, in some cases are well known and in others, are women who should be known.
This is the 7th year the list contains a call to action to join the Black Women in Europe™ Kiva Lending Team. It is the 5th year that the Power List is dedicated to Derek McCullough, former List creative director, who died in 2015.
